Brett Favre Says Goodbye

Earlier this year, the NFL's all-time leading touchdown passer, Brett Favre, retired. His retirement, although expected, came at a rather unusual time. The Packers went all the way to the NFC title game and lost to the eventual Superbowl champions, the New York Giants. The Packers went 13-3 this past season. They were one of the hottest teams last season, so it is unusual for him to leave.

Brett Favre's departure hurts. The team now has to go with an inexperienced quarterback under center. It could also hurt their young receivers. A running game that struggled for much of the season, until the emergence of Ryan Grant could see many 8 man fronts next season. An inexperienced offence could create problems for their young defence if they can't stay on the field.
